5cm per second

I was so happy i watched this animation over at the National Museum of Singapore, in conjunction with Animation Nation 2007. Thanks nasuhahaha for the company even though you're new to animes~
5cm per second, an animation that sent me crying because of the tragic twist at the end. The movie is named 5cm per second for the speed at which cherry blossom petals fall. Petals being a metaphorical representation of humans, reminiscent of the slowness of life and how people often start together but slowly drift into their separate ways.
Funny how devoted guys can be, in this movie at least. I told nasuhahaha that the girl was cruel but she told me that's life. I guess its true. Tono and Akari maybe be childhood friends but because of their parents move, they were separated. It wasnt until junior high that they met yet again. They tightened their bond but because of Tono's move again, they got separated and as years go by, Tono has never once forgot abt Akari and believed in his heart that he and Akari might one day just be together again.
As the distance between them grows even larger, and as they both became adults, Tono's life as compared to Akari was mundane. Tono's life as i see, seemed repetitive and it looked like he has no life. Then came the twist, Akari has moved on and is getting married. They both bumped into each other at the railway track but the only one who turned back to look was Tono. The only one. The other indiviudal was Akari, she did turn but trains drove pass them but she didnt wait....she walked on...

And that was when i cried even more. All this while the guy waited and waited but Akari has moved on. Cruel but that is life. The theme song, "One more Time, One more Chance" fits the animation and it made me teared even more. It was a beautiful movie with breathtaking graphics.

That is just one of them. Throughout the movie, the graphics were extremely beautiful. Though character designs are simple, it was okay~ 5cm per second...a movie that will always be etched in my mind~
Alright~ So a day after our movie date was our NCPC presentation!

We were the only group wearing matching clothes and so formal. LOL! We got 2nd and that's enough to make us proud of what we did! Worth the $$$ we spent on printing. Its a really good experience. Presenting in front of major clients, it was nerve wrecking waiting but it was pretty alright when we went in. I even had the time to chwee this cute representative from NCPC in the Creative Media STUDIO. HE WAS CUTE! The girls didn't notice but i did! Lol~ while the judges were giving comments, i rounded the place and thats when i noticed him.
LOL!
I know...Though i didn't stay for the results. I went to meet my sister to watch "ENCHANTED" and do some shopping. My goodness, ENCHANTED is super nice~ Lovely songs, lovely casts and funny scripts. It was all worth it! Hahaha~ Edward is just hilarious~
After that we did some shopping! Usually i am the one who uses up my sister's pay to get what i want but this time around i didn't. Hmm...shopping was somehow boring~ but FOOD was great! We went to Breeks and i got my Bibimbap and it was delish!
So now i'm free until next year. Nasuhahaha and i planned to join this activity. Its called Abs, Buns & Thighs. $65 for 12 sessions. I hope Nasuhahaha remembers to enquire more about this!
Yep! And now, i wait. Wait for my album to arrive on our doorstep!
